Unfortunately, and much to our disma as well, Apple has made a major change to the way they handle their database on iOS 6. We mad a change to our database structure to react to this issue, which we thought was backwards compatible, but we are finding out on many devices it is not. The easiest solution right now is to delete the app and redownload it (you will NOT be charged). This will clear the database and stop it from crashing and newly saved aligned maps will work just fine. Unfortunately, this means that any aligned maps you have saved within the app currently will be lost. We are trying to work on a solution, but with the Apple approval process it will probably be a week or two. We released an updated version that we thought would fix the immediate crash, but apparently that does not either. Please delete and redownload the app and we will continue to work on a fix. If you really need to keep your saved maps and can’t delete and redownload please email us directly and we will try to get you a developer build ASAP.
Our sincere apologies,
Jeff
EDIT – turns out even the latest update doesn’t solve everyone’s problem. We just created a new version that I really believe should work! I promise. In the mean time, I took down map overlay from the App store to prevent more people from downloading the bad build. I just submitted the new build to Apple and hopefully in a week we’ll have it back up on the apps store. If you want a version before then email us at support@longtraildevelopment.com with your UDID of any devices you want to install it on and we can send you a free developer version. Sorry for all the hassles folks.
